About Alexandra

Alexandra Kouris studied Literature as her first degree and Drama with Theatre as her second degree. She then went on and did her PGCE in English and Drama and works as a Drama teacher at The Heritage Private School in Limassol. From a young age, Alexandra wrote songs and plays and played the piano. As an adult, Alexandra studied Singing and was awarded the FLCM diploma with distinction in 2020, the first in Cyprus to do so. Her singing repertoire is mainly Jazz songs extending into Blues and Rock. Alexandra enjoys Musical Theatre and has directed dozens of Musical productions, producing work comparable to the West End and Broadway. When she’s not busy teaching, directing and singing, Alexandra can be found Swing Dancing or hosting Musical Theatre Improvisation workshops as she truly believes that inspiration is found in moments of freedom and joy.
 

Alexandra has continued to write lyrics and songs throughout her life and her favourite creative partnership is with Hovig Nassanian. Together they recently wrote As You Wish, a musical based on The Princess Bride. They have co-written many songs and are producing and releasing new ones through their label, Necessary Kuriosity Music.
