Peaceful is a piano album by Hovig Nassanian, recorded and released during the January 2021 lockdown in Cyprus, featuring some of his compositions from over the years.

Hovig writes: “Some of my friends have been on my case to record a piano album for a while now, but life was always too busy, and musically, there was always a new production, concert or event to work on. But when the recent lockdown was announced, I decided to begin the process…without being sure where it would lead.
After recording one of the tracks, I sent it to a good friend to tell me what he thought of it. His first word was, ‘peaceful’. That helped guide the rest of the project: choosing the songs and pieces that would help bring some calm, peace and – hopefully – beauty, during these scary and uncertain times.
The music in Peaceful is actually a reflection of my life’s journey so far. One track, I wrote back in 1986 while still living in war-ravaged Beirut; another when I met the love of my life, Anna; a couple of lullabies for our son, often played while he was still in Anna’s belly; some medleys and memorable numbers from various original musicals I’ve had the privilege of producing with great colleagues, and a brand new piece called ‘Peaceful in the Pandemic’ for January 2021!”
The album has featured on the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporations CyBC Radio 4 and is on the playlists of Calm Radio, One World Music and The River of Calm.
